The expedition members have agreed to support The friends of the Livingstone Museum Trust in its endeavours to assist with the renovation of the Livingstone Museum, one of the largest repositories of David Livingstone memorabilia in the world. The Livingstone Museum has recently undergone refurbishment with the support of the EU however the Trust aims to ensure the continued upkeep of the museum and its exhibits by securing funding on an ongoing basis.

Wildlife artist Guy Hammond, who is participating in the expedition, has pledged to donate 20% of the proceeds from the auction of his paintings done during the course of the expedition to this end.
